The team at Hallmark Engineering Group, EES Solutions, and Hadfield Services Limited are proud to sponsor D-Sport in their latest triumph at Round 7 of the rally championship. Known for its incredibly rough terrain, the event in Arbroath proved to be a true test for all participants, with broken tarmac and deep potholes challenging even the most seasoned drivers. This stage is regarded as one of the toughest surfaces in the championship, putting both the junior and senior teams through their paces.
For Lewis and Cameron, two rising stars in the junior rally circuit, this was no ordinary race. Seeded 10th going into the event, they managed to finish the first stage in an impressive 6th place, holding their own against fierce competition. The challenging terrain included sharp corners and barriers that were a real test of skill and nerves. After the first stage, Cameron shared that words couldn’t quite capture the intensity of the experience, with the car swinging back and forth through tight turns — yet Lewis masterfully kept them on course, controlling the car with precision.
Mechanical issues plagued many teams throughout the day, with a number of competitors forced to withdraw due to drive shaft and gearbox failures. Despite the rough conditions, Lewis and Cameron kept their car steady, suffering only minor bumps and scrapes, including reshaped wings and a few extra dents on the bumper.
By the end of the day, after six gruelling stages, the D-Sport team secured 6th place overall, surpassing expectations. Even more impressive, this marks the third consecutive time that Lewis and Cameron have taken home the Best Novice Title, cementing their place as one of the top junior rally teams to watch.
